The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Charles McIntosh can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

a memory from the 50's

My Uncle Charlie emmigrated to Canada before I was born , however I  was brought  up with 'wee stories' about him from my Mum [ Cathie] and my Gran and so when I eventually met him on 2nd January 1979, when he came home to Scotland, for his first visit  in 22 years  it was fantastic to eventually meet him. One of the stories my Mum often told was that as a young man Charlie  would often be 'skint' (nae money!!) by the middle of the week and would borrow money from her to go to the dancing , as did her other brothers , but Charlie would ALWAYS pay her back on a Friday or a Saturday when he got his wages and he always gave her a box of chocolates as a thank you and she never forgot that. I am posting this memory on behalf of my Mum - Cathie xxxxxxxxxx
