The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Barry Woodrow can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: André Paradis
Condolence: I shall miss seeing Barry and his friendly greeting as I met him running or cycling. I recall seeing him running during a blizzard and asking him the following day about his run. He replied that it was fine other that a little frost bite around the mouth. That was Barry !! A humble athlete indeed!

Condolence From: Anne and Bill Litchfield
Condolence: Barry was certainly a man for all seasons.
Anne and I met Barry when we moved to 66 Brousseau Avenue in 2002 and we developed a very cordial relationship which continued even after he moved uptown. For many years one or both of us would meet Barry anywhere during his runs or cycling and he would often stop to chat. The last couple of years he just cycled very slowly and it was obvious he was struggling but he never complained. He was bound to make every minute count in the outdoors.
Anne and I would like to extend our sincere condolences to his two daughters and to the rest of the families. We'll miss Barry as the family will as well. We'll miss his gentle manner of speaking, his infectious smile and his courtesy that he extended to us. Best wishes to all from Anne and me. Bill
