The family announces with great sorrow the passing of their mother Wanetta Major (nee Dufresne) at the Timmins & District Hospital on January 26th 2020. Born in Elk Lake to Louis & Ida May Dufresne (nee Lafaniere). Predeceased by her parents, husband Rudy Major, her granddaughter Kayla, 5 sisters and 3 brothers. She will be sadly missed by her children; daughters Louise (Gaston), Helen (Jack), Marge (Don), Nancy (Bob), Linda (Rick), Tina (Dan) and her son Rudy Major. Also 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister-in-law Therese Fournier, her brother-in-law Jack Major (Edith) and Raymond (Aline) and nieces and nephews. Special thanks to EMS, Emerg-Doctors, Nurses in the Hospice and Dr. Hopkins for the wonderful dedication while in their care.
A private funeral service will be held. Interment will be held at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to a Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. The family will have a prayer service in the spring 2020. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME,CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins
