Obituary for Stephen Barry Ellis

Stephen Barry Ellis
It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Stephen on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 71 years. Loving husband of Cynthia Ellis. Father of Len Ellis and Michel Denomme both of Timmins and his step-daughter Lexy (Zach). Dear grandfather of Christopher Ellis and step-grandchildren Kaiden and Taylor. Survived by his sister Gayle Hadley-Van Heiningen and many foster brothers and sisters. He will be missed by his friends Gates Potvin (Terry Roy) who was not only his employer but his best friends and his dance partner and good friend Christine Purdy. He also leaves his fur babies Bunsen & Beaker known as dog and puppy. Stephen worked as a taxi driver for many years with Vet's Taxi. He was an avid bingo player. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Timmins and District Hospital for their care and compassion.

In light of the current coronavirus pandemic, in efforts to protect the public and the family, they have made the decision to have a gathering at a later date. Remembrance donations to the Timmins Humane Society or Riding Therapy would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins
