The family announces with sorrow his death at the Timmins and District Hospital on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the age of 77 years. Loving husband of Diane Chénier (née Doire). Dear father of Louise Chénier (Trevor Hussey) of Timmins, Chantal Saumur (Yvan) of Gatineau, Francine Chénier of Gatineau and André Chénier (Véronique Lalonde) of Gatineau. Cherished grandfather of Heidi, Camille, Adam, Kenady, Luka, Danix, Francis, Joëlle, Emma, Élie and William. Dear brother of Rolande Chénier of Gracefield, Lucien Chénier (Yolande) of South Porcupine and Léo Chénier (Hélène) of Timmins. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Wilfrid and Annette Chénier. Remembrance donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or Diabetes Canada would be gratefully appreciated. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00am from St-Joseph Church. The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 9-10:30am at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
