Obituary for Robert "Bobby" Melanson

Robert "Bobby" Melanson
With saddened hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our son, brother, father and grandfather in his 57th year on January 18, 2016 at Extendicare Timmins.
Loving son of Helene Melanson of Timmins and the late Ovila (1982). Cherished brother of Norm (Wendy) of Port McNeil, B.C., Doris (Rick), Louise (Mario) and Edward all of Timmins and his late brother Danny (1988).Devoted to his now deceased lifelong partner Lori Twain (2014) and father to Keegan Restoule and adoring Pepe to Lydia Restoule. He leaves his godson Keving Martineau (Alania) of Timmins.
Bobby will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
He had many loves in his life. Some of them being hunting, fishing, camping, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Montreal Canadiens. He enjoyed working at Mascioli Construction and had worked there for over 30 years. Every chance he got, he would be in the bush. But his true love was his family…and that was undeniable.

The Melanson family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sonia Di Tullio and the amazing care team at the Timmins Extendicare for all their support, compassion, dedication and care throughout the years.
“May your Soul be rushed through the Gates of Heaven and into the arms of Our Lord.
Rest in Peace Bobby. Enjoy your stay with your loved ones who have passed on before you”
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from the Miron-Wilson Chapel (Fr. Stephane Kazadi officiating). Remembrance donations to the Timmins Extendicare-Recreation Department (ice machine) would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 7-9 on Friday evening of January 22 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins.
