SAWINSKI, RICHARD (May 3, 1951-January 6, 2015) It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Richard Sawinski. He will be greatly missed by his son Jason (Christine) Sawinski, his son Tyler Sawinski, his stepson Marcel (Robyn) Pelchat, his sister Joan Novak (Joe) , his brother Tony Sawinski, his niece Janina, his nephew Ted, as well as his grandchildren Anna, Lea, Liam and Samuel. An avid outdoorsman, marksman and gunsmith, Rick was especially proud to have served the people of Timmins for 30 years as a member of the Timmins Police Services. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home. Remembrance donations to the either the Timmins D.A.R.E. Program, Timmins & District Hospital Foundation, House of Kin or Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 pm to 3:45 pm at the
