The family announces with great sorrow his sudden passing at home on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the age of 88 years. Predeceased by his wife Armande (nee Leonard) in 2010. Loving father of Lynn Chartier (Roger), Denise Briand and Donald Briand all of Timmins. He leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother of Claudette Aikens, Lorraine Briand, Reginald Briand and Arnel Briand. He will be missed by his dear friend Marie Frenette. Predeceased by his sons Gordon and Ken Mantey and by many brothers and sisters. Due to the Covid pandemic and the current limits, the family will have a private service. Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
