Obituary for Remo N. Pizzale

Remo N. Pizzale

It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing surrounded by loved ones at the Timmins and District Hospital on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the age of 80 years. Survived by his beloved wife Margaret (nee Godin) of 53 years. Loving father of Christine (Louis) Bottigoni of Capreol, Michael (Lynne) Pizzale of Timmins, Marc (Laureen) Pizzale of North Bay and Lisa (Brock) Ciotti of Timmins. Cherished grandfather/Nono of Samantha Bottigoni, Alexander Bottigoni (Stefanie), Chiara Pizzale, Yanick Comtois, Joël Comtois (Taylor), Tessa Pizzale (William), Kaelyn Pizzale, Hailey Pizzale and Hunter Pizzale. Predeceased by his daughter Shari-Ann, his parents Marcello & Ersilia Pizzale and his sisters Noris Amodeo and Annie Pizzale.
Remo enjoyed life and was at his happiest when he was surrounded by his family. His world was his wife Margaret. If he was not baking at International Bakery, whom he was part owner until 1989, he enjoyed the outdoors where he spent his time at the cottage. He always enjoyed the company of his dogs. Lastly, one of his favorite past times was having gatherings with his family with plenty of food and lots of laughs. The family would like to thank the doctors, nursing staff and hospital staff on the medical floor and the hospice for their ongoing care and compassion throughout this difficult time.
Memorial mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from Sacred Heart Church. Interment of ashes at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. Remembrance donations to The Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:30 pm on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins
