It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Peter at the Timmins Extendicare on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the age of 85 years. Survived by his brother Paul Kataquapit of Kingston and many cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Joseph Kataquapit and Theresa Hunter and his siblings Charlie, Abraham, Christiana, Louis, George and Maggie. Peter worked for many years with the Ministry of Natural Resources as a conservation officer and later in his career as a mechanic. Family was important to him and he devoted many years of his life to take care of his mother.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from St Anthony's Cathedral (Msgr. Pat Lafleur officiating). Interment at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. A reception will follow in the St. Anthony's Cathedral hall. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Wednesday evening, February 26, 2020 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins
