Lorraine Bélec
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announce her passing at the Timmins & District Hospital – St-Mary’s site at the age of 93 years. She is predeceased by the love of her life Claude Bélec (2010). Beloved mother of Paulette Pelletier (John), Paul Bélec, Mona Monfils (Frank), Lynne Bélec (Bob Young), Mark Bélec (Lesley) and Luc Bélec. Loving mémère to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Dear sister of René Guertin (Yolande) and Roger Guertin (Claire). She will be sadly missed by many brothers and sisters-in-law, her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lorraine is predeceased by her son Jean Bélec (2009), her grandson Patrick Bélec (2004), her parents Blanche and Alderic Guertin and her siblings Lucille Guimond (late Lionel), Lucien Guertin (late Juliette) Fleurette Warriner (late Carl), Georgette Bélair (late René) and Guy Guertin (late Mirelle).

Lorraine spent six years living at the Rainbow Suites where she had many friends; she was very happy there. She loved to play bingo, cards and darts and in her earlier years, she was an avid bowler.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the TDH St-Mary’s site for the care and kindness they showed Lorraine during her stay the last few months.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 10 am to 11:45 am.
