Justin's family announces with heavy hearts his sudden and unexpected passing on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the age of 31 years.

Addiction takes control of an individual and destroys families and everything around them. As a family, we tried desperately to help, guide and save "our" Justin but unfortunately the addiction was far too powerful. Justin was talented in many ways. His love for music and his passion for "rapping" gave him hope for better tomorrows. He poured his soul and trauma into his music. Justin had his demons but loved and cared deeply about his family and friends. If you only knew Justin while in active addiction, you never really knew Justin. He was a man of true values, a man of many skills and a man who always lit up a room. He was the quiet one in the corner, the one full of sorrow. His family loved him dearly and always will. He will be missed until the day we die.

He is survived by his mother Diane (Dyan) Lavoie and predeceased by his father Denis Lavoie (2014) and stepmother Fern Dumoulin (2013). Cherished brother of Ashley (Julie) Gervais. Also predeceased by his grandmother Noëlla Calderhead (2010). Will be missed by many aunts and uncles especially Mike (Rhonda) Calderhead, Richard Lavoie (Rachel), Vivianne (Phillipe) Warren, Leane Lavoie and Yvonne (Mike) Attard as well as June (Andre) Horne. He will be sadly missed by many cousins and not to forget his Furbaby "Bentley".

A funeral service will be held at the Miron-Wilson Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 3:30 pm (Deacon Michel Neron officiating). A webcast of Justin's funeral will be available the following week. In Justin's memory, remembrance donations to the Canadian Mental Health, South Cochrane Addiction Centre or the Timmins Food Bank would me most appreciated. Burial of his ashes will take place at a later date.
