It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Josephine at Health Sciences North on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the age of 75 years. Predeceased by her husband George Sutherland in 2001. Beloved mother Douglas Kebokee (Flora), Raymond Kioke (Sandra), Beverley Linklater (Daniel), Marina Kioke, Nicole Haggerty (George), Bunny Sutherland, Faith Underwood (Jeff), Phillip Sutherland, George Sutherland Jr (Tash) and Crystal Jacobs (Ken). Cherished grandmother of Courtney, Rainah, Natasha, Ashley, Johnny, Amanda, Joshua, Brynne, Victoria, Jessica, Daniel Jr., Gabby, Morgan, Kyra, Brianna, Jay, Kallen, Haleigh, Melissa, Emily, J.J., Liam, Gracie, Shawndre, Abby, Miya and Mercy. She also leaves 22 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Madeleine Kioke, David Kioke (Phemi), Joan Kioke, Lucy Paulmartin, Pauline Veenstra, Johnny Kioke (Helen), Steve Kioke (Juliet) and Dorothy Kioke.
Predeceased by her parents Gabriel and Agnes Kioke, her son Dominic and her grandson Kingston.
She loved making native crafts. She was a native artisan that enjoyed working in the community and took pride in selling her crafts at different community functions. Josephine loved dining out with either friends or family.

Due to the Provincial restrictions with the current pandemic, the family has decided to have a private service. In her memory, donations can be made to the Women in Crisis Centre. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins.
