The family announces with great sorrow the passing of their gentle leader on April 30, 2015 at the Timmins and District Hospital in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Anita (Duclos), loving father of Nick (Stacey St.Marseille), Lori (Martin Dulac) and Philip (Debra Shalla). Cherished grandfather of Maegan (Kyle Montague), Nate, Angel (Frankie Gaudet),Brittany, Ben and Alex. Great-grandfather to 9 wonderful children. John is survived by his brothers Real (Madeline Bois) and Leo (Elza Freitas) and his sisters Magela (Melvin Turner), Suzanne (John Fairchild) and Marie Rose. Predeceased by his parents Phillippe and Therese as well as his sisters Alice, Aline and Solange. John was a hard working employee at Kidd Creek Mine and he dearly loved all of his family. He was respected by all that knew him and loved by his whole family. His honour was beyond question and he was a man of integrity. John was the best anyone ever had. The family would like to thank the staff on the second floor at TDH for all their care and support. As per his wishes cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held. In LIEU of flowers, remembrance donations to TDH Patient Care or to the Northern Cancer Foundation P.E.T. Scan Fund would be greatly appreciated.
