The family announces with sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Sunday July 6, 2008 at the age of 75 years.
Loving husband for 55 years of Germaine Burnett (née Bisson). Dearest father of Linda Brownrigg (husband Adrien Carrière) of Timmins, Jimmy (wife Debbie) Burnett of South Porcupine, Suzanne Burnett of Sudbury, Rolland (wife Vivian) Burnett of Smooth Rock Falls, Andy (Cécile) Burnett of Kapuskasing, Carole (husband Mike) Lacelle of Timmins and Late Gerard Burnett. Brother of Gladys (late Raymond) Leek of Woodbridge, Marie (late Roy) Anderson of Timmins, Doreen (husband Armand) Lavigne of Havlock, Claire (husband Jean-Paul) St-Jacques of Iroquois Falls, Gerald Burnett of Québec, Geraldine (husband Harold) of Waterdown and Serge of Dunville. Also left to mourn are his 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and his sister-in-law Julie Burnett. Predeceased by his parents Blanche and Leonard Burnett and his brother Lawrence.
