Obituary for Jacqueline Marshall (Burrows)

Jacqueline Marshall (Burrows)
MARSHALL, Jacqueline (nee Burrows)
1924-2017

The family announces with sorrow her passing at The Walford on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Walter Marshall. Loving mother of late Marilyn Roy (Gerald) and
Gary Marshall (Lynne) both of Timmins. Dear grandmother of Jarrod Roy (Tasha), Darren Roy (Pam), Gillian Virc(Paul), Jenna Roy(Amanda) and Melissa Malley(Colleen). Great-grandmother of Abby, Jack, Jacob, Keenan and Maeve. Predeceased by her infant son David Marshall, parents George and Sarah Burrows, brother Gordon Burrows, sisters Edna Rowlandson, Silvia Roberts and Jennie Sanderson. Jacqueline was born and raised in England and it was there, during wartime that she met Walter, a young Canadian soldier. After the war Jacqueline made the journey to Canada to marry the love of her life. She was a family woman known to them and extended family as Nanny. Nanny could bake up a storm. She loved to dance and could sing like a lark. She had a fiery character and a gift for using the funniest British sayings. She will truely be missed. The family would like to thank the staff at The Walford for their caring service. And, thank you to Dr. Chris Durepos for his years of expert, compassionate care. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday March 21, 2017 from the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel (Pastor Brynn Carson officiating). A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. Remembrance donations to Canadian Cancer Society Wheels of Hope would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the
MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME,
Cremation and Reception Centre,
150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
