Obituary for Irene Lainsbury

LAINSBURY, Irene Lucienne (nee Boutin) (1923 - 2018).
With heavy and saddened hearts, the family of Irene Lainsbury of Timmins, Ontario announces her quiet passing in her 96th year, Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Timmins and District Hospital after a brief illness. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth, in 2012, her parents, Alfred and Clara Boutin, and many siblings. Loving mother of William (Judy), Raymond (Geralyn), Edward (Dawn) and Mary (Mirek). Dear grandmother of Lesley, Tracy (Richard), Holly (Cal), Clayton (Tessa), Joe, Leann, Edouard, Marcel and Matthieu. Great grandmother of Emily, Mason, Broedy, Quintin, Parker, Adam, Charlie and Cameron. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Irene worked in the library at TH&VS for many years until retirement. She was an avid reader who enjoyed her retirement years baking, blueberry picking, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and other caregivers at Extendicare and the TImmins District Hospital Hospice for the care, comfort and compassion they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Timmins District Hospital Hospice Foundation would be appreciated. Following her wishes, a private family funeral service will be held. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
