The family announces with great sorrow his sudden passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Tuesday, April 7th, 2020 at the age of 43 years. Beloved husband of April MacFarlane. Cherished father of Clayton Poupart, Allysha Butt and Alexis Butt. Loving son of Garfield Butt Sr (Teresa) and Donna Searles (Tom). Dear brother of Deborah Filion (Mike Nadeau), Brad Butt (Kristin), Chuck Butt (Vicky), Sherry Massicotte (Jim), Dawn Lortie (David) and Trish McCreight (Jamie). Garfield will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews that loved him and his close friend Ken Guerin.

For those of you that didn’t know my dad, my dad was the kindest man, he had a big heart. He was not selfish and helped out the less fortunate when he could. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching movies and did he ever love racing cars! My father will never be forgotten. I love you so much papa. – Love, Alexis

I love my husband so much, I am experiencing a great loss, he was not just my husband he was my best friend, true love is hard to find and did I ever have the love of my life. My children and I will miss him deeply.
