LAUZON, EDWARD ARTHUR (September 4, 1938 - July 18, 2018)
The family announces with sorrow his passing at the Hospice Centre at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband to Juleta (nee Finnerty) of 56 years. Loving father of Tom (Laurie) of Windsor, ON and Catherine of St. Andrews, NB. Also left to mourn are his grandchildren Kyrah, Una, Liam Scott of New Brunswick and Katy (Eric) Steel of Amherstburg, ON. and his great granddaughters Leah and Mya. Dear brother of Lorraine (Jon) Zuccolo, of Sudbury and Suzanne Harrison (late Robert) of Timmins and brother-in-law of Leslie Finnerty (late Isobel) of Barrie, ON, Joann Redmond (late Jack and late Michael Cassar) of Essex, ON and Noreen Parici (Mike) of Lasalle, ON. He is predeceased by his parents Maurice and Alice Lauzon (nee Giroux), his special aunt Martha Giroux, his brother Denis Lauzon, his parents-in-law Ambrose and Mary Kate Finnerty and his brother-in-law Patrick Finnerty (Claudette). Ed's career was that of a firefighter with RCAF, Timmins Fire Department and finally with Transport Canada (Timmins Airport) from which he retired in the year 2000. Ed was also an avid swimmer at the Archie Dillon Sportsplex Pool. A longtime participant where he enjoyed the friendship of the daily noon hour regular swimmers. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff at the Hospice Center of the Timmins and District Hospital for their compassionate care. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Hospice Center at the Timmins and District Hospital would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
