Obituary for Carole Legros

LEGROS, CAROLE (nee Besnier) The family announces with sorrow her peaceful death after a courageous battle at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at age 60 years. Loving wife of Gary Legros and dearest mother of Jody Legros (Dennis Taillefer), Tracy Leduc (Dan) and Wendy Legros (Mat Belleau) all of Timmins. Loving grandmother to Owen and Ryder Leduc. She is also survived by her mother Annette Besnier and her siblings Monique Cloutier (Claude), Jean-Marie Besnier (Dee), Lina Ferguson (Brian) all of Chapleau and Ginette Besnier of Timmins. Pre-deceased by her father Raymond Besnier. Carole was born in Chapleau where she married Gary in 1978 before eventually settling in Timmins. She was a longtime nurse having worked at St. Mary’s Hospital, Timmins & District Hospital and most recently Service Canada. She will be remembered for her outgoing and optimistic personality. She was a great cook and was an avid athlete. She loved the outdoors and camping but more than anything, her family meant everything to her. Being a proud “hockey grandma” to her grandsons brought her more joy than anything. She will be truly missed. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 from the Miron-Wilson Funeral Chapel. (Deacon Michel Neron officiating) A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson reception lounge. Remembrance donations to the Oncology Unit of the Timmins & District Hospital. Would be appreciated. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the
