Obituary for Carol Soucie

Carol Soucie
It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the age of 73 years. Beloved wife of 51 years to William J. Soucie of Matheson. Loving mother of Frances (Paul) Hopkins of Spruce Grove, Alberta, J.C. "Bo" (Stacy) Soucie of Nanaimo, BC and Albert Soucie of Cranbrook, BC. Cherished grandmother of Heather, Alec and Cody. She is survived by her sisters.
Carol was a woman who loved to learn. In her later years, she took many nursing courses and never stopped to enrich herself with new things. She always helped the less fortunate and volunteered at the crisis hotline. She loved to stay current by watching the news daily, world events and never refused a good debate. She was a real animal lover and had several cats and dogs since she was a young child. Animals were always drawn to her. Her heart was always at the lake. She enjoyed her younger years at Wasaga Beach, Ontario, her young family years at Cultus Lake BC and Tie Lake BC in her empty nesting years. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren they were a “big” part of her life. She was an amazing cook and baker. Easter, Halloween and especially Christmas were her favorite times of year. During festive times, that meant more baking where everyone enjoyed. Carol was known to love a good cup of coffee in the morning.
As per Carol's wishes, cremation has taken place . Remembrance donations to Timmins and District Humane Society would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the
