The family announces with heavy hearts the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, soon to be great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, niece and friend. On Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the age of 60 years, she lost her brave battle with cancer. Beloved wife of René Vandal. Loving mother of Mario (Véronique) Vandal, Nathalie (Jamie) Clouthier and Christian Vandal. Cherished grandmother of Joshua Lemieux-Vandal (Fiancée Ashley Silk), Jacob Lemieux-Vandal, Kara Clouthier, Devon Clouthier and Kaleigh Vandal. She was looking forward to being a great grandmother to a baby girl in December. She is survived by her father Jean-Marie Langlais and her brothers and sisters; Denise (Keith) Bromley, Nelson (Réjeanne) Langlais, Diane Langlais, Judy Langlais (René Bachelet), Guy (Lynda Banville) Langlais, Richard Langlais, Marc Langlais, Jay (Lillian) Langlais, Nancy (Ken) Malott and Steven Langlais. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law; Bertrand (Colette) Vandal, Diane Fortin (late Mirel), late Aline (Réal) Castonguay, late Colette and Guy Rondeau, Dolores Bélanger (late Simon), late Réjean (Lise) Vandal, Pauline (Mario) Roy, Carole (Fernand) Blanchette, Lina Vandal (Graham Bromley) and Jean-Claude Vandal (Brenda). She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, students, friends and her beloved dog Dash.
Predeceased by her mother Peggy Langlais, her sister, Christine Langlais, her brother Dean Langlais and her parents-in-law Lionel & Thérèse Vandal. She touched many lives in more ways than she could ever know. Family would like to thank the Bayshore Nurses, CCAC and the Timmins and District Hospital staff for their care and compassion.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 12, 2016 from the Miron-Wilson Funeral Chapel (Fr. Sebastin Groleau officiating). Remembrance donations to the Cochrane-Temiskaming Resource Centre would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins
