Obituary for Audrey Buchar (Bazinet)

Audrey Buchar (Bazinet)
BUCHAR, Audrey
(nee Bazinet)
1932-2018
The family announces with heavy hearts the passing of Audrey with her family by her side at the Timmins Hospice. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Buchar (1987). Loving mother of Paddy Buchar (Kelly) of BC, Cathy Yard (Jack) of Schumacher and Andrea Toner (John) of Porcupine. Proud grandmother to Lyndi (John), Mariah (Will), Joshua, Caleb (Nicole), Brianna (Kevin), Bridget, Alana (Ian) and Chase (Jacob). Great grandmother “Baba” to her namesake Audrey Goslin who she adored and treasured to her last days. Audrey was the last of 9 Bazinet children, losing her dear sister Pat Mousseau in April 2018. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Audrey married her husband Stan and moved to Schumacher. Although she was of French/Irish heritage, she was welcomed into the Schumacher Croatian community that she loved so much. She learned to be a fabulous cook who brought her family together over the dinner table. She also had a sweet tooth that rivalled anyone in the family. She would confide in her grandchildren, once she was in her later years, that she’d had a piece of cake or three for breakfast. Then she’d give that little giggle we will all miss so much. She was still baking into her last months of life. Audrey was a lady who always saw the best in everyone, had a great sense of humour that seemed to get funnier as she aged. She knew how to make each child, friend or grandchild feel as though they were her favourite with a twinkle in her eye and a warm hug. She was the type of mother and grandmother who not only took the kids to events but participated with them in skating, tobogganing and snowmobiling. She loved life and she loved her community and friends unconditionally. Her special friend Carmen and God daughter Darlene will miss her dearly. Audrey lived her last year with grace and dignity as she lived her life. She will be lovingly remembered for her zest for life and love of family. She will never be forgotten. We wish to thank a very special doctor and friend, Dr. Lynne Schwertfeger as well as Marnie Chisholm and Pauline the special PSW. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 12:00 noon from the Miron-Wilson chapel (Deacon Jake Gregorcic officiating). Remembrance donations to the Schumacher Lions Club Park Revitalization Fund would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 10 am to 11:45am at the
MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins. To order flowers online, light a memorial candle, make online donations or condolences, please visit www.mironwilson.com
