Gentles, Anne (nee Pigeon)
December 15, 1916 – July 11, 2015
It is with deep sorrow that the family announce her passing at the Golden Manor on Saturday July 11, 2015. She is predeceased by her husband Albert in 2009. She will be sadly missed by her sister Theresa (Raymond) Taylor and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Amable and Arthemise Pigeon, and her siblings Albert, Maurice, Rudy, Alice Gosselin, Betty Butler and Lilian Marois.
Anne was born in Timmins, where she met the love of her life, Albert whom she married in 1940. They resided here until 1951 when her and Albert moved to Fort Erie, ON. Anne was active with the hospital auxiliary in Fort Erie. She returned to Timmins in 2011 and resided at the Golden Manor. At this time the family would like to express a sincere thank you to the excellent caregivers at the Golden Manor. Extra special thanks to Chantal Desrosiers and Darlene Rogers, who had a very special way of working with Anne.
Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday July 14, 2015 from the St-Anthony’s Cathedral (Fr. Pat Lafleur officiating). A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. If so desired, remembrance donations to Golden Manor would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
