Anita Spigarelli (Gambini)
1927-2018
Our beloved mother passed away peacefully in her daughter's arms on Saturday February 24, 2018. Anita was born on September 4, 1927 in Gubbio, Umbria (Italy) to Ferdinando and Filomena Gambini. She will always be remembered and loved by her son Fernando (Ginetta Marinelli) and daughter Joyce (John Delost). Devoted grandmother to Julie Metaxas (Chris), Andrea Delost (Luc Fortin), Adam Marinelli and Nicholas Marinelli. Great grandmother to Natalia and Kellen. Also survived by sisters Peppina Monacelli, Rina Mengozzi of Italy and brother Dante Gambini of Toronto. She was predeceased by her husband Antonio (2006), son Denny (2010) and brothers Enrico and Amedio. Anita was devoted to her Catholic faith through the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parrish and was a long time member of the Porcupine Dante Club. The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of Extendicare Timmins and Dr. Antonio Kos. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation or the Timmins and District Humane Society. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Fr. John Lemire officiating). The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
