The family announces with great sorrow his peaceful passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of late Mary Corbiere (nee Kuleba) - 2017. Loving father of Peter (Ginette) of Timmins, Bruce (Mary) of Schumacher and John (Wendy) of Timmins. Cherished grandfather of Sonia (Mark), Natalie and Zack. He will be sadly missed by his great grandchildren Owen and Vayda Salvador, Abby Schizkoske and Cameron and Wilson Cochrane and their father Wilson Cochrane. Also left to mourn are his sister Irene Castonguay of Birch Island, his many brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Peter Corbiere and Lucie Ann Niganigijig. Wesley worked at the McIntyre Mine for numerous years and had many friends while working there. His family and friends will miss seeing his beautiful smile. The family would like to thank Dr. Lax, Dr. Paquette , Dr Schwertfeger and nurse Shelley for their care and compassion. In light of the current pandemic, in efforts to protect the public and the family, they have decided to have a private family service. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
