The family announces with great sorrow his passing on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 64 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years Michelle. Beloved father of Frances (Chad) Sonnek and John (Tanya) Downie. Step father of Dan and Dave Cabral. Grandfather of Jases, Reese, Noah, Dominique, Kacie, Gabriella and Tigerlily. Thomas will also be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. He is predeceased by his parents Thomas (2011) and Edith (2012) Downie. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life being held at 992 Denise St. Timmins from 12-10 pm on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. There will also be a celebration of life held in Brandon, MB at a later date followed by burial in Grosse Isle, MB with his parents. Remembrance donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
