The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of the late Sharon Wilner (nee Jenkins) (2005). Cherished father of Toby and Luc Boucher of Timmins and the late David Wilner (2021). He is also survived by his sister Anne from Toronto, his grandchildren Ashley (Dale) Boucher and Alex (Alyssa) Boucher, his little princess Elliot and his great grandson Elijah. Also left to mourn are; his cherished group of longtime best friends, his cousins Ann & Don Taylor, Robin & Monica Taylor, Darren & Kathy Taylor and their children Eli, Gaby, Jordyn and Jonah. Robert was predeceased by his parents Fred and Lottie Wilner. Over the years Robert was very involved in the community and was a member of many organizations to raise money for his city. He was a lifetime member of the Porcupine Dante Club, past president of the Timmins Jaycees, 32th Degree Mason and a member of the Shriners. He was also part of the Ski Patrol in Timmins. He had been a member of Good Life since it opened. The family would like to thank all of the staff and members who made him feel welcome. As per his wishes a private close family service will be held. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
