Obituary for Robert Graydon Rowe

Robert Graydon Rowe
It is with sadness and heartbreak that the family announces his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Friday, February 25, 2022 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of the late Jo-Anne Rowe (nee Makuch) in 2020. Dear father of Bill Rowe (Paula Steeves), Penny Martin (David) and James Rowe. Loving grandfather of Jessica, Derek, Kendra, Alex and Aden and great grandfather of Cruise. Dear brother of Lorne (Jane), Dorothy Hopkins (Clarence) and Gordon (Mona). Brother-in-law of Mary Louise Bonhomme (John), Wanda Perreault (late Gilles), Stan Makuch (Pierrette), Stefan Makuch (Cheryl), Elizabeth Page (late Bob), Fran Williams, Cathy Ferguson (Steve), Tony Makuch (Sylvia) and Joey Makuch. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Myrtle Rowe and by his sister-in-law Lillian Millette. Dad was a great man who dearly loved his family and friends. The last year for dad was difficult but he kept his sense of humour and spirit strong. He wore many hats in life but his favourite was his cap he wore as a Timmins Police Officer. He retired in 1997 but drove a school bus and delivered food for Meals on Wheels. We would like to thank Dr. Auger and the staff at Golden Manor, Handy Trans drivers who were happy to see dad 3 times a week and the staff at dialysis who helped him with his phone probably daily. Diamond Bob will never be forgotten! “I am I said” will always bring a tear to our eyes! “This is good pal”. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Bob’s life will take place at a later date. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Dialysis Unit would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins.
