The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Timmins & District Hospital on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the age of 72 years. Beloved husband of the late Linda Vaillancourt (nee St-James). Cherished father of Matthew (Kim), Richard Jr. (Jena) and Elizabeth (William). Dear grandfather of Emily, Jessica, Mia and Kaitlyn. Proud great-grandfather of Ava-Lynn, Axle, Roman, Scarlett , Arianna, River and Layla. Brother of Denis (Sue), Andre (Monique), Patrick (Sylvie), Viviane (Rick), Carole (Joey), Lynda (Tim) and Daniel. He will be dearly missed by his close, long time friends Jim Morrish and Boo Boo Badour. Also left to mourn our many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Richard is predeceased by his parents Simon and Colombe Vaillancourt and his son Gerry Vaillancourt.

Donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends and family on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 2pm-4pm & 7pm to 9pm at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
