Obituary for René Caron

René Caron
It is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing at the Timmins & District Hospital on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband of Linda Caron (née Belanger). Loving father of Jason Caron and step-father of Tammy Boucher and Shelley Boucher. Dear brother of Rejean Caron (Mary Walsh), Lillianne Caron (Gary Locke), Denis Caron (Donna Heppenstall Buffham), Jo-Anne Caron (Richard Déchêne) and Normand Caron. René will be sadly missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Robert and Lucienne Caron and his siblings Thérèse (late Girard Godin), Claire (late Gérard Côté), Roger (late Suzanne Lecoupe), Maurice (Sophia Nikorak) and Cecile (late Donald Lauzon).

René was a miner with Kidd Creek for over 25 years. When he wasn’t hard at work, he enjoyed camping and fishing; he also had an interest in astrology and was a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. René was a ‘’Jack of all trades’’ and was known as Mr. Fix it to his grandchildren because of his ability to fix just about anything. Above all, René was devoted to his family and will be missed dearly.

As per his wishes, cremation was held and no visitation or service will take place. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
