PERRIER, Remi (1931-2023)
Remi passed away peacefully at Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 92 after a short illness. Survived by his loving wife of 70 years Joan Perrier (nee Doughty). He is survived by his children Robert (Sharon Prince), Lynda Brandon (Douglas), Diane Chartrand (Andy) and Brenda Morin (John). Also survived by his sister in law Linda Perrier. Remi leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents and siblings. Remi worked for many years as a truck driver and a plumber. He enjoyed spending time at his cottage on Kamiskotia Lake, fishing and riding his four wheeler. In recent years he spent his time reading and doing puzzles and playing with his cat, Shadow. Special thank you to Dr. Parr and the nurses on the Timmins Hospice Center and in the medical unit. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Timmins & District Hospital Foundation - Hospice Centre. Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, December 1, 2023 from the Chapel of Miron-Wilson Funeral Home (Deacon Michel Neron officiating). A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
