1939-2019
The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Extendicare Timmins on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the age of 80 years. Ray leaves behind his brother Br. Ken Scully of California as well as his nieces June and Cathy, his nephew Larry and many colleagues and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Bernard and Rose Scully, his brother Gary Scully and his sisters Sr. June Scully and Rita Fleece. Ray was a teacher at O'Gorman all of his career, he started teaching at O'Gorman in the sixties up until his retirement and has touched the lives of many students in the process. Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday July 27, 2019 from the Sacred Heart Church (Fr. John Lemire officiating). A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. Remembrance donations to the Sick Kids Foundation, Sacred Heart Church or the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
