The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at the age of 66 years. Beloved husband of Margaret Fecteau (nee Jonescu). Loving father of Alain Fecteau (Sharon) of Brantford, Lynn Fecteau of Timmins and Darren Sampson (Jodie) of Penticton BC. Also left to mourn are his 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is survived by his three brothers, his sister, his two sisters-in-law and his brother-in-law. He will be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and his cousins. Paul was predeceased by his parents Raoul and Marie-Rose Fecteau, his parents-in-law John and Norma Jonescu, his brother, his two sisters-in-law, his grandson and his great-granddaughter. Paul was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Counsel #12859, at the St-Anthony of Padua Cathedral and also a member of the St-John Ambulance for 17 years. Paul enjoyed hockey, for 40 years he was involved as a trainer and board member for several hockey teams. He worked as a miner for 45 years with Kidd Creek at the met and mine site before he retired. Most of all, Paul's pride and joy was his family. He was a real family man, who would do anything for his family and he will be sadly missed. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Timmins and District Hospital on the Medical floor and the ICU Unit for all their care and compassion during this difficult time. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May, 3, 2022 from the St-Anthony of Padua Cathedral (Fr. John Lemire officiating). Remembrance donations to the St-Anthony of Padua Cathedral or the Timmins District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins, ON.
