Obituary for Normand Lamothe

Normand Lamothe
The family announces with great sorrow his sudden passing at home on Monday, February 14, 2022 at the age of 71 years.

Beloved husband of Monique Lamothe (née Caron). Dear father of Mathieu Lamothe (Heidi) and Robin Lamothe (Véronique). Loving grandfather of Gibson, Addison, Liam and Ayla. Dear brother of Ginette Johner (late Jurg), Michel Lamothe (Lise), Daniel Lamothe (Jean Frédéric), Robert Lamothe (Ginette), Linda Larose (Gerry) and Céline Boucher. Predeceased by his parents Jean-Paul and Antoinette Lamothe. He will be missed by his Brothers and Sisters-in-law Jean-Guy Caron (Thérèse), Yvon Caron (Mona), Hélène Lacroix (late Marcel), Carmen Vine (late Miles), Suzanne Labelle (Michel), Claude Caron (Lorraine), late Gilles Caron (Angeline), late Denis Caron (Carmen), late Yolande Rondeau (late Paul), late Robert Caron (Irène) and late Thérèse Emond (late Paul). Norm will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were inspired by his leadership.

Norm was a producer for CFCL TV in his earlier years then was one of the owners of 101 Rad for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his sons and grandchildren. He was always behind a camera producing the memories that will now be passed down to his family. He was a very competitive person when it came to playing cards, horseshoes or the many washer tournaments he organized but most of all, he was a true Montreal Canadiens fan.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 12:30 to 2:30pm at the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home (mask wearing and social distancing will be required along with the maximum number of attendees allowed at one time). Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins. To order flowers online, make online donations or condolences, please visit www.mironwilson.com
