Noëlla Laurin (née Bastarache)
1932-2021
The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Golden Manor with her loving daughters by her side on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the age of 88 years old. Beloved wife of late Roger Laurin (2012), loving mother of Murielle Beaulieu (Richard) of Notre-Dame-du-Nord, Québec, Marianne Carrière (Pierre) of Corbeil, Ontario, and late Michel Laurin (2012) of Timmins. Also left to mourn are her grandchildren Angèle Brown (Kevin), Alain Carrière (Bernice), Marie-Hélène Colaiezzi (Patrick), Marc Beaulieu (Anna). She is also survived by her nine great grandchildren: Aldéric, Olivia, Catherine, Élise, Luc, Xavier, Grayson, Ben, and Abigail. She is survived by her brother-in-law Clermont Fortier, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be missed by her closest friends Micheline Swanson, Denise Bastien and Louise (Gerry) Giroux. Predeceased by her parents Alfred and Albina Bastarache, and her siblings: Alice Éthier (Ulysse), Blanche Pelchat (Arthur), Laurette Bossé (Lucien) and Piché (Roland), Angèla Girard (Paul), Armand Bastarache (Ida Laurin), Laurent Bastarache (Cécile Simard), Laurier Bastarache (Lucille Joli) as well as Joe Lapointe (Carmelle) and Archille Lapointe (Laure-Anne). Noëlla will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her positive outlook on life. She and her husband Roger entertained many with their country and western music and they are now reunited forever the "Melody Rangers". She deeply loved her family and many friends. Born blind, she never considered her blindness a handicap and as she passed into eternity her eyes were opened and her first sight was her Lord and Saviour Jesus-Christ, in whom she and Roger trusted by faith. The family wishes to thank the health care workers and attendants of the Golden Manor for their kindness and care, over these past 13 years. Mom considered you all her angels. In light of the current pandemic, in efforts to protect the public and the family, they have decided to have a private family service. Burial will take place at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Épouse bien-aimée de feu Roger Laurin (2012), mère adorée de Murielle Beaulieu (Richard) de Notre-Dame-du-Nord, Québec, Marianne Carrière (Pierre) de Corbeil, Ontario, et feu Michel Laurin (2012) de Timmins. Ses petits-enfants Angèle Brown (Kevin), Alain Carrière (Bernice), Marie-Hélène Colaiezzi (Patrick) et Marc Beaulieu (Anna) sont également dans le deuil. Elle laisse également ses neuf arrière-petits-enfants : Aldéric, Olivia, Catherine, Élise, Luc, Xavier, Grayson, Ben et Abigail. Elle laisse dans le deuil son beau-frère Clermont Fortier, ainsi que de nombreux neveux, nièces, cousins et cousines. Elle manquera à ses plus proches amies Micheline Swanson, Denise Bastien et Louise (Gerry) Giroux. Ses parents Alfred et Albina Bastarache, ainsi que ses frères et sœurs l'ont précédés: Alice Éthier (Ulysse), Blanche Pelchat (Arthur), Laurette Bossé(Lucien) et Piché (Roland), Angèla Girard (Paul), Armand Bastarache (IdaLaurin), Laurent Bastarache (Cécile Simard), Laurier Bastarache (Lucille Joli) ainsi que Joe Lapointe (Carmelle) et Archille Lapointe (Laure-Anne). On se souviendra de Noëlla pour son beau sourire et son regard positif sur la vie. Elle et son mari Roger ont diverti beaucoup de monde avec leur musique country et western et ils sont maintenant réunis pour toujours les "Melody Rangers". Elle aimait profondément sa famille et ses nombreux amis. Née aveugle, elle n'a jamais considéré sa condition comme un handicap et, en passant à l'éternité, ses yeux se sont ouverts et son premier regard a été celui de son Seigneur et Sauveur Jésus-Christ, en qui elle et Roger avaient confiance par la foi. La famille tient à remercier les travailleurs de la santé et les préposés du Golden Manor pour leur gentillesse et leurs soins, au cours des 13 dernières années. Maman vous considérait tous comme ses anges. En raison de la pandémie actuelle, la famille a choisi d’organiser une cérémonie funéraire privée.
