The family announces with great sorrow his passing, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the age of 56 years. Beloved husband of 29 years to Christine Blanchard (nee Seaward). Proud father of Kenneth of Timmins and Daniel (Jessica Butt) of Cold Lake, Alberta. Dear brother of Gloria Kirley (late Gary) of Timmins, Gary Blanchard (Denise) of Dean Lake, ON, Roseanne Mongeon (Gerry) of Timmins and late Larry Blanchard (Lucy) of Sioux Lookout. Also left to mourn are his mother-in-law Sue Seaward of Timmins, his brother-in-law Mike Seaward (Donna) from London England, his sister-in-law Tammy Briand (Gates) from Val Gagné and his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Aline Blanchard, and his father-in-law Warren Seaward. In his spare time he loved to go hunting, fishing and he was an avid sports fan who loved to cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. The family would like to thank the team at Bayshore; Marnie, Liz, Brittany and Dr. Malo, for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Remembrance donations to the CTRC-Cochrane Temiskaming Resource Centre or to the Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation would be greatly appreciated. To honour him, the family asked that you wear your favourite sport jersey during the visitation, the family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
