The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Madeleine at the Timmins and District Hospital on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Rene Généreux. Loving mother of Monique Murphy (Robert), Marc Généreux (Tammy McIntyre), Natalie Généreux of North Bay and Charlotte Lauzon (David). Cherished grandmother of Jessica, Isabelle, Joey, Megan, Eric, Cody, Brooke, Katrina, Shawn, Mackenzie, Danika, Randy, Paige, Joshua and Leanne and great grandmother of 11 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Laurette Tourigny and Normand Laurin. She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law. Predeceased by her parents Ernest & Alice Laurin and her brothers Albert, Marcel, Michel and her sisters Cecile, Therese and Anita. The family would like to extend gratitude to the Doctors and nurses on Medical B from Timmins and District Hospital, Staff at TADH - St. Mary's site and her many friends at Spruce Hill Lodge. Madeleine will be fondly remembered for her skilled hands in sewing, crafting and especially gardening. Her warm welcoming smile and sparkling personality will be greatly missed but cherished forever.

The funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11 am from St. Joachim Church. Cremation will follow. A reception will take place at church. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S, Timmins, ON.
