The family announces with great sorrow his sudden passing on Monday, August 29, 2022 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of 62 years to Lise Riva (nee Rochette). Loving father of Lita Lehoux (Dan), Bob Riva (Heather), Kathy Gazzola (Dan) and Lee-Ann Riva-O'Sullivan (Liam). Cherished grandfather of Brent (Jessie), Jessie (Brody), Dylan, Dax (Taylor), Brock (Chantal), Anthony (Sunny), Kyler, Nicholas (Bridgette), Bannon, Locklan, Jennix and Jemmie and his great grandchildren Raegan, Sloan, Max, Whalen. Dear brother of Elena Lowe, late Lindy Riva and late Joanne Haycock. He will also be sadly missed by his extended family the Merchant, Haycock and Prey families. Also left to mourn are his many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Antonio and Genovefa Riva. Lino loved spending time with his family and friends especially at his camp in Bisco. He was an outdoor enthusiast, fishing being his passion. He will be sadly missed by all. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022 from the chapel of Miron-Wilson Funeral Home (Deacon Michel Neron officiating). A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. Remembrance donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
