Lena Wheeler (Vacchino)
The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Timmins and District Hospital, with her loving family by her side, on Monday November 19, 2018, at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Robert Wheeler (1984). Loving mother of Dexter (Franca) Wheeler and Derek (Miranda) Wheeler of Timmins. Dearest grandmother of Robert Wheeler of Timmins and Jamie (Jason) Poole of Woodstock. Survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lawrence and Louise Luhtanen and her nephews Brian Vacchino, Danny Pasi (late Sandra) and Larry Luhtanen and her nieces Linda Pasi and Laura Pezzola (Tony). Also left to mourn are her great nieces and nephews David, Julia, Angela, Melissa and Mark. Predeceased by her parents Luigi & Maria Vacchino, her brothers Lou and Emilio Vacchino, her sisters Rosie Sadloski and Julie Pasi and her nephew Raymond Vacchino.
Lena enjoyed working at the Bank of Nova Scotia and the Toronto Dominion Bank as a teller for many years. The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Timmins and District Hospital for their compassionate care. As per her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. Remembrance donations to Timmins and District Hospital would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the
