Obituary for Lausia "Lucy" Legault (Chaput)

Lausia "Lucy" Legault (Chaput)
The family announces with sorrow her death at the Timmins and District Hospital Hospice Centre on Friday, April 22, 2022, 39 days shy of her 90th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Edmond Legault. Loving mother of Marcel Legault (Anne), Suzanne St. Pierre (late Daniel), Richard Legault (Michelle), Rolland Legault (late Sharron) and Denis Legault (Debi). She is survived by her amazing grandchildren; Angele Dupras (Mike), M.J. Legault, Nick Legault, Katie Legault, Lissa Chase, Sylvie Schaffer (Dan), Ryan Legault (Linda), Jessie Guignard (Kevin), Phillip Legault (Michelle), Bradley Legault (Heather) and Jean-Claude Aubin (Shannon). Proud great grandmother of Brody, Montanah, Braeden, Chancellor, Rylan, Devin, Steven, Noah, Dakota, Ryder, Grayson, Ozzy, Harmony and Emily. Dear sister of Denis Chaput (Crystal). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Paul and Alice Chaput, her daughter Pauline Chaput, her grandson Alain Aubin and by her siblings Juliette, Therese, Leah, Lionel, Paul Jr. and many others. Our mom loved her fur baby Panda, her bingo friends and her knitting. She had a zest for life and was the best travel companion to her daughter Suzanne. She was also the best bread pudding and meat pie maker. Lucy enjoyed going to the cottage and spent three wonderful winters in Florida. You may have passed on, but your memory will always live on with us. Thank you for your sacrifices, your care and concern, your love and everything that you had for us. Wherever you are, we know you are in a much better place. We will be forever grateful and thankful for having you in our lives. The family would like to thank Dr. Samson and all the wonderful nurses who took care of our mother and who took the time to have a conversation with her, she always said she was being spoiled and taken care of like a Queen. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Humane Society would be gratefully appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
