It is with deep sadness that we. the Duciaume family, announce the peaceful passing of Laurier (Larry) Duciaume, surrounded by his family, at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the age of 81 years. Cherished husband of Emilie Duciaume (née Bonhomme). Beloved father to Michel (Jennifer), Daniel (Sylvie) and the late Andre. Dear brother of Leo (Estelle), Hattie Lauzon (Leo) and Claudette Cashabek (late Mikey). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family. Predeceased by his parents Aurel and Laura Duciaume. During his years as a resident of Holtyre, Larry was always passionate and committed to the betterment and future of his community. Larry served on council for 6 terms, he was a well devoted member of the planning board, the board of health and he served on the board of directors for the Caisse Populaire. As per his wishes cremation has taken place. In light of the COVID restrictions, the family will have a celebration of life at a later date at the Holy Redeemer Church in Holtyre. Remembrance donations to the Ontario March of Dimes would be greatly appreciated.
