Obituary for Katlynne Osawamick

Katlynne Osawamick
Osawamick, Katlynne Diane (May 22, 1997 – May 5, 2023)
It is with great sorrow that the family announces that Katie, 25, passed away suddenly on May 5, 2023. She leaves behind: her mother and father, Vicky & Arliss Osawamick; her younger sister, Chelsea Osawamick; her grandparents, Theresa Osawamick, Diane & Gilles Jolivet. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Katie was in her element when being creative. She was a gifted singer, guitar and keyboard player. She loved to draw and paint. When she was able, she was always helping others. She participated in a years-long study for PCD; a rare disease that she herself had to learn to live with. In her early teens, she struggled and despite all the love, support and guidance she received, she turned to drugs. In her early twenties, she graduated from high school, enrolled in college, and simply fell in love with life again. It was the miracle that all of her loved ones had prayed for and we were so thrilled for her. Unfortunately, a relapse occurred from which she was unable to come back. May her soul and spirit finally be at peace. You will always be loved and never forgotten. Remembrance donations to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health would be greatly appreciated. A private family service will be held and the family will receive friends from 5:30p.m. until 8:30p.m. on Thursday, May, 18, 2023 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
