The family announces with great sorrow her death at the Golden Manor on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the age of 84 years. Loving partner of Dave Harbar of Schumacher. Dear mother of Myra Cosentino of Toronto and Dennis Sebalj (Donna Krysko) of Schumacher. Loving grandmother/Babi of Chrissy (Mike), Jon (Dani), Emily (Ryan), Paul and Thomas. Great grandmother/Babi of Lylah and Bellamy. She will be missed by her Kuma Rose Seckulich of Toronto and by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Zora Jakovac. Janet was very family oriented; her family was always her number one priority. She loved to cook and bake for her loved ones; delicious sarma (Croatian cabbage rolls), best ever butter tarts, Croatian apple strudels and orehnjaca (walnut roll and a very special German torte for birthdays only. She had a love for fashion, in her day she was Schumacher’s fashionista. Through the 1960’s and 70’s, Janet sang at many weddings at St. Alphonsus Church, she was known for her soprano singing of Ave Maria. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Auger, Shelly, Gina, Cherisse, Trina, Debby, Michelle, Leigh and all the West 1 unit staff at the Golden Manor for their compassion and care given to our mother. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 1:00pm from the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home chapel (Deacon Jake Gregorcic officiating). Remembrance donations to the Golden Manor or the Canadian Foundation for Vascular Health would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 12:00-12:45pm at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins.
