Condolence: My sincerest condolences go out to the entire Syvrais family and his friends. In the short time that I got to know Jamey, he struck me as being an honest, genuine individual and a good storyteller. We came to know one another when he asked me to come on board as an administrator on his Facebook site, "Timmins: Then and Now." Jamey's unbridled passion for local history was inspiring to the many followers who enjoyed his posts about local history. I will miss chatting with him and especially doing that "detective work" with him to determine more information about a particular photograph. Jamey has done a lot to educate both young and old about our rich local history. He will be missed but not forgotten. Rest in Peace Jamey.

Condolence: My condolences to the Syvrais families. I'm sorry to hear about the untimely loss of dear Jamey. Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: "Your dead ones will live...They will rise up". And the Bible also says "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will forever reside upon it". Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28,29 which says "Do not marvel at this, because the hour us coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". This is possible thanks to Jesus Christ's ransom sacrifice. Thus we have a genuine hope of everlasting life in a world without wickedness or suffering.
