It is with profound sadness that the family of Isadore Commando announce his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the age of 79 years. Isadore will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Réjeanne (nee Lapierre), his daughters, Tracy (Elias) and Nancy (Roger); his grandsons Gregory and Evan. He leaves behind a great brother-in-law; Richard Lapierre, his siblings; Edward, Roseanne and Annabelle, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Hanna and his siblings; Phyllis, Stan, William, Benny, George, Fern, and Peter, his great sister-in-law Brenda Lapierre (nee Tinney), mother and father-in-law; Michel and Juliette Lapierre (nee Carpentier). Isadore worked as a miner for 46 years of his life and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors in his spare time. He will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his humour, strong will, hard work ethic, and his willingness to help. Remembrance donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association would be greatly appreciated. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022 from the chapel of Miron-Wilson Funeral Home (Deacon Michel Néron officiating). A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge.
