Obituary for Irene Walker (Crouch)

Irene Walker (Crouch)
It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Irene was born in Cochrane to George & Alice Crouch. She was the second of five children. Irene grew up in Cochrane where she met and married George in 1952. They celebrated 62 years of marriage up until his passing in 2014. They are now reunited together forever.
Irene was the proud mother of five children, Linda Latour (Gilles) of Ottawa, Nancy Macdonald (late Mark) of Woodstock, Helen L’Heureux (Randy) of Ottawa, Cathy Davies (Jack) of North Bay and Wayne Walker (Lynn) of Timmins. Irene loved her family including 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was always willing and available to watch her precious grandchildren. Her family always came first. She is survived by her sisters-in-law; Connie Crouch and Irene Hannan. Irene will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings; Roy (June), Betty (Leo), Charlie, Jim and her brother-in-law Harry Walker (Polly).
In their retirement years, Irene & George travelled extensively and later in life, moved to Fergus, then Woodstock and back to Timmins.
Special thanks to the staff at Extendicare in Gillies Lake wing, especially Kathy, Moareen and Karen. Thank you also to Dr. DiTullio for her caring and understanding.
Funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from the Miron-Wilson Funeral Chapel (Lesly-Ann Humphrey officiating).
