The family announces with great sorrow her passing on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jacques Chartrand (2000). Loving mother of Carole Duval-Blanchette (Vic) and Daniel Chartrand (Nat). Cherished grandmother of Stéphane (Danielle), Mathieu (Giulia), Josée (Pierre-Luc) and Janel. Dear sister of Lorraine (Laurent) Fortier and sister-in-law of Maurice (Colette) Chartrand. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her brothers and sisters Real (Anita) Lebrun, Roger (Yolande) Lebrun, Ernest (Germaine) Lebrun, Alma (Simon) Marchand, Carmen (Roger) Gauthier, Colette Lebrun as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law.

Irène was an independent person and a proud woman who enjoyed travelling, shopping, casinos and spending time with family. She loved life, living it to the fullest. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and a compassionate caregiver helping many. We’ve lost a wonderful person and she will be missed tremendously.

Funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm, on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the Miron-Wilson Funeral Chapel (Deacon Michel Néron officiating). A reception will follow the chapel service. Interment of her ashes will take place at a later date. Remembrance donations Timmins and District Hospital - Hospice would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 10 am to 12:15 pm on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the
