Potvin, Gilles (1966-2023)
The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Golden Manor in Timmins on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the age of 57 years. He will be sadly missed by Brigitte Potvin (nee Rivest), his children Ronald, Robert and Bradley & Gina and his grandchildren Devin, Véronika, Michael and Mia. Dear  brother of Roger, Robert & June, Danny & Brenda and Denis & Kathy. Also left to mourn are; his mother-in-law Bibiane Harvey, his nieces and nephews Jennifer, Karrie, Jon, Jessica, Megan, Nathalie, Bobby, Michelle, Gisele, Marc, Mitchell, Joel, Serge, Danielle, Stephanie, Melanie, Lee, Kyle and Ben, his brothers and sisters -in-laws; Dan & Fran, Ken & Celine, and Christine and his friends Laurier, Darrin, Marc, Bill, Shawn and Doug. He was predeceased by his parents Romeo and Marcelle Potvin and his sister Jocelyn & Jack Spence. Gilles loved hockey and was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadians. He enjoyed spending time at the cottage and going fishing. When lunch time came around Gilles was always ready for a good grilled cheese sandwich. As per his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
