The family announces with heavy hearts the passing of Gilles at the Timmins & District Hospital on Monday, January 20, 2020 at the age of 62 years. Beloved husband of 35 years to Lorraine Belair (nee Villars). Loving father of Jean-Claude (Amber Hamilton) and Joanne Paré (Jonathan) both of Timmins. Cherished grandfather of Owen, Emma and Berkson. Dear brother of Colette Moulton (Ernie), Rolland Belair (Kathy Wing) and Roger Belair (Manon St-Onge). He will be missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law; Marcel Villars (Diane Lessard), Lucille Riopelle (Raymond), Denis Villars (Rose), Donald Villars (Patricia), Lucien Villars, Louise Forget (Gaston), Nicole Godda (Robin) and Ernie Villars (Sharon Cornell). Gilles is predeceased by his parents René & Georgette Belair, his parents-in-law Andre & Claire Villars, his brother-in-law Rhéal and sister-in-law Claudette.
A celebration of Gilles's life will take place at the Social Venue (27 Maple St. S., Timmins, On) on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Remembrance donations to Timmins & District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
